Loretta Grim, daughter of George and Mary Grim, was born at Alamo Dec 5, 1861 and passed from this life Sept 6, 1941 at LaFayette, Indiana. With the exception of a few years she lived at New Market, Virginia and three years at Lafayette, all her life was spent in Montgomery Co. On April 17, 1909 she was united in marriage to Charles F. Sharp of Waveland. Since the death of her husband, March 23, 1938, she has lived at the Pythian Home in Lafayette. During the early girlhood she united with the Christian Church in Alamo. Later transferring her membership to the Waveland Methodist E. Church. She is survived by one aunt, Mrs. Lidia Arehart of New Market, Virginia and a number of cousins and friends of this vicinity. The funeral was held at the Machledt Funeral Home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. McBrayer in charge. Beautiful piano selections were rendered by Mrs. Lowell Spencer, Pall bearers and tribute carriers were; Frank Shanks; Lee Foster; DA Lough; Leland Gooding; Hubert Loudermill and Richard Johnson. Those attending from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Will White of Alamo; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Remley of Waynetown; Mr. and Mrs. Flint Lee; Mr. and Mrs. George Walter; Mr. Otho Sharp of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Emma Servies of New Market; Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Ammerman, Placedo, Tx; Mr. and Mrs. GL Dalrymple; Mrs. Fishburn; Mrs. Griffin from KP Home; Mr. and Mrs. GM Grimes and Miss Martha of Indianapolis and Mr. and Mrs. DL McGaughey of Russellville. Burial was in Maple Ridge Cemetery by the side of her husband. -- kbz
